Connecting the Dots

I just finished writing my personal statement for applying to Ph.D. programs, and in doing so I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on my journey in computer science and throughout college. As I’m telling my story it seems so linear and so logical, how each of my varied experiences have come together to position me exactly where I am and aligned with what I want to do next. But looking back, I know for sure that I didn’t have that clarity at the time.

Writing my grad school apps was a way of reflecting on the brownian motion random walk that is life. We are all just taking it one step at a time, in a direction we think is best.
